Reinach is cosmopolitan, with an enriching, multi-cultural diversity. One reason for this is the English-speaking International School Basel (ISB): children and teenagers from all over the world attend this school at its two locations - Reinach and Aesch. And generally, the well-rounded choice of schools available, from kindergarten through to secondary education level 1, makes the community very popular for families with children. The choice also includes a commercial secondary school and a music school.

Moderate taxes

Tax authority in Switzerland is divided between the central government, the cantons and the local council. The main part of the taxes are direct, which, for companies (legal persons), are levied on profit and capital and for private persons, on income and assets. Federal taxes are uniformly regulated for the whole of Switzerland. Cantonal and communal tax rates, on the other hand, vary according to place of residence or a company's legal domicile.
