Domestic rubbish and other refuse (paper, cardboard, garden waste, metal, bulky items of rubbish) are collected regularly, throughout the whole borough, by a waste management service provider employed by the council. The costs are covered by household fees , which are collected in the form of stickers ('Abfallmarken'), which have to be stuck on the rubbish bags. Information on collection days, collection points and fees is listed in the Abfallfibel (refuse manual), sent to all households every year.
